Amanda Lynne Simmons was born and raised in West Michigan. After graduating high school, she attended The American Academy of Dramatic Arts where she studied acting for the stage and screen. While there, she was part of various scene studies from plays by Bernard Shaw, Neil LaBute, Caryl Churchill, and more. She completed her training with productions of Shakespeare’s Richard III and Naomi Iizuka’s Anon(ymous) before walking across the Majestic Theatre Stage to receive her degree.
Amanda Lynne is the vocal lead in Peachy, Darling Music. A duo she created with Atlanta based artist Justin Dalisay. The pair enjoy performing at The Olive Bistro on Juniper St. in Atlanta, GA and frequently perform in the Decatur and Marietta areas singing their favorite songs from the “Golden Age of Hollywood” era. In spring of 2018, Amanda Lynne relocated to Atlanta, GA (where she still resides) and started collecting more credits under her belt in both theatre and film.
She has been featured most recently in My Professor’s Guide to Murder where she played the role of Kathy which released on Lifetime on July 1st, 2023. She’s also been seen in TV shows like Cobra Kai and Apple TV+ reboot of Amazing Stories and has done stunt/body double work for child actors in the film/TV industry. She also continues to produce her own film work and is currently in postproduction for her newest short film: Good Grief.
Amanda Lynne made her theatrical directorial debut with Alice in Wonderland Jr. (2020) at Woodstock Arts and later went on to direct A Chorus Line: High School Edition (2022).
In spring of 2020, Amanda Lynne was part the Georgia Premiere play Helvetica by Katie Coleman. In this production she received her first stage credit for lead choreographer and composer in a 7 minute piece that takes place during a two page monologue about one of her roles, Ballerina. Helvetica also gave Amanda Lynne her first ever theatre review.
Some of her other completed work includes playing Margot in Legally Blonde The Musical (2021), Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz (2019), Sally/Emily in A Christmas Carol (2019-2020)

Amanda Lynne was part of cast and crew of HME Productions Evan’s Gambit that premiered January of 2019 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She played the role of Bree.
